Last week, me and my friends coincidentally wore shades of grey for a company photoshoot. Naturally, we had to do this afterwards.

On a medyo related note, have you noticed how all my post-travel videos have dance sequences in them? This is why I love watching the clips over and over again. This is also why it takes me a lot of time to finish editing the videos! I love seeing that all my friends are game to dance and ham it up for the camera.

I only learned about the art fair a week before it opened. Naturally, I quickly forgot about it. Heh. So when my friend asked me to go on the first exhibit day during lunch time, I immediately said yes.



Managed and founded by the Philippine Art Events, Inc. in 2013, the Art Fair Philippines aims to bring the vibrant local art scene to the people and to continue to generate support for our local art practitioners. It was set in the 6th and 7th floor of The Link in Makati, which is actually a parking garage turned into an urban exhibit setting.

Ahhh I can't wait to finally buy a new phone! I mean, how will I let people know what I said about cooking five strips of bacon was true? Did it really happen at all?



Kidding aside, since I've been smartphone-less for two months now, I can say that it wasn't really that bad. I was one distraction less, and probably partly caused me to focus a bit more on other endeavors. And to satisfy my Instagram fix, I have perfected my process of posting photos thru friends' phones. It's tacky, I know, but they understand the need to keep myself sane! *nervous chuckle*

No one's really asking, but here's how I do it. Haha!

1. Take photos using my camera or someone else's phone
2. Do color correction and/or add photo filters in Photoshop
3. Upload photo in OneDrive
4. Borrow a good friend's phone
5. Download OneDrive file
6. POST

It's not that bad, right? RIGHT?

Okay, I will buy my own phone, hopefully, before my next out of town trip.

What do a pack of Yakult and a box of Magnum Mini's have in common? Once you start one, you cannot NOT finish the whole lot! I tried to harness all the self-restraint I can muster. Believe me, I really tried! I was curled up in pain all morning (stomach pains ughh), so maybe that could be enough reason to indulge. No? IDK but my tummy is now very happy.

Up until late last year, I have never tasted a Magnum because I was still firm in my "not jumping on the Magnum bandwagon" stance. Kunwaring non-conformist. Now, I wish to always have boxes of Magnum Mini's in the fridge because life-changing! (I like to exaggerate but you get it)

Coincidentally, I am also on my last bottle of Yakult.





A month after I lost my phone, I still haven't gone out to buy a new one. Admittedly, not having Instagram within my reach has been hard to get off my system. My close friends offer to lend their phones just so I can have my Instagram fix, which is how I posted those pics above.

If you are my Facebook friend, surely you noticed that I have been publishing photo albums now. I have also started revisiting my archived photowalk photos and planning to post them little by little. My Flickr account is kinda becoming active, too. And then there's this blog... I am actually posting on it now!

And there's my silver lining. It is also very shallow, sure.

Last Sunday officially marked this year's first photowalk. I did not count the weekend before that because all I shot were photos of my puppy. We actually did a lot of photowalks last year but aside from one, everything stayed in my drafts, because lazy.

"Left or right?" 

"Pose in front of the leaves!"

"Let's watch the sun set over Pasig River!"

"Should we grab dinner before going to the red light district?"

"This place looks REALLY Instagram-worthy. Let's order a beer!" 

These are some of the decisions we had to make during the photowalk. I love how everything can be aimless and spontaneous, and still make everyone's day. This is why I love photowalks.

I have worked and lived in Taguig for nearly six years now. I guess one of the things I like the most is that I don't have to go really far to grab something to eat. Especially now that more companies have set up shop in BGC and McKinley Hill, the food variety has gone up faster than you can say Geronimo. (Yeah yeah, the song. I'm listening to Sheppard as I'm writing this.) There are a lot of places to satisfy every craving--some expensive, some within reasonable range.
