Last Saturday, I decided to finally break the streak of five weekends spent on traveling and socializing. Like a hermit who went to his cave, I suddenly stopped talking to my friends and I locked myself inside the house. I attempted to deactivate my Facebook for a while, but then had to reactivate after a day because Spotify won't let me use my Premium account without my linked Facebook account. I couldn't bear life without my guilty pleasure, my Tito Playlist, okay?

I slept in until I had to unwillingly get up to eat a very late lunch. Then, I binged-watched all the reality TV shows I missed--four episodes of Survivor, four episodes of The Amazing Race, some episodes of America's Next Top Model, and since those were not enough to satiate my TV addiction, I also caught up on three episodes of How To Get Away With Murder. And idk I guess Sunday wasn't exciting enough so I reinstalled Tinder.

Ang haba ng intro but here we are now! Bear with me. 

The only kind of BAE I will ever need

Ahhh I can't wait to finally buy a new phone! I mean, how will I let people know what I said about cooking five strips of bacon was true? Did it really happen at all?



Kidding aside, since I've been smartphone-less for two months now, I can say that it wasn't really that bad. I was one distraction less, and probably partly caused me to focus a bit more on other endeavors. And to satisfy my Instagram fix, I have perfected my process of posting photos thru friends' phones. It's tacky, I know, but they understand the need to keep myself sane! *nervous chuckle*

No one's really asking, but here's how I do it. Haha!

1. Take photos using my camera or someone else's phone
2. Do color correction and/or add photo filters in Photoshop
3. Upload photo in OneDrive
4. Borrow a good friend's phone
5. Download OneDrive file
6. POST

It's not that bad, right? RIGHT?

Okay, I will buy my own phone, hopefully, before my next out of town trip.

It's been 4 weeks and 2 days since I deactivated my Facebook account. Although it's temporary, I must say that doing it really didn't help much with my focus issues (read: Twitter) and since my mom has been expressing her disapproval, I might go back sooner than I planned. She say she misses my poses.

So really, there wasn't a withdrawal syndrome that happened but I can truthfully say that I didn't miss it nor did I wake up night longing for it. In fact, it even made me talk with people more in person.

Maybe it's one of those things that we think we can't live without, but given enough space and time, could just be an afterthought.
