Dec-Jan BDJ Box and then some

January 12, 2013

I was expecting this box to be sent by January 15 but my sound Saturday sleep got disrupted when a loud delivery man kept on knocking on the gate.

Package was sent at January 10 via Fasttrack.
As most of the BDJ Box subscribers already know, there was a half a month delay of the December box. To make it up, the package included a free BDJ Forget-Me-Not Ideas Journal. Awesome, right?

It's fuss free and a clear pad for everything you'd want to write/draw. I've been thinking of buying a journal for this year so this came just at the right moment.
This month's BDJ Box itself was not as bulky nor heavy as the November box. Upon opening it, you'll see the same postcard, the stickers and the confetti.

What I liked most about this box at first sight is that there are a lot of full-sized products and like last month, it also came with discount cards for various salons an shops.

A little less cluttered but I still like everything in it. Without further adieu, here are the individual product shots.

December-January BDJ Box Contents
Prices of full-sized products are inidicated in parenthesis

Pantene Pro-V All Day Smooth Miracle Water, 250mL (Php 149).
Full-sized sample. This, I would probably use everyday.
Flormar Super Shine Nail Enamel (Php 99)
Definitely bringing this on my next mani/pedi session. The first one for 2013!
Flormar Long Wearing Lipstick (Php 349)
Let me be the first one to tell you that although it says long-wearing,
it is not make out proof. :)
Snoe Beauty Beso Balm (Php 149)
Tried it. It leaves a minty tingle to the lips. I like.
Pevonia Botanica Phyto Gel Cleanser 200mL (Php 3640)
The most expensive among the contents although I haven't really heard about it.
Etude House Moistfull Collagen Trial Kit (Emulsion and Freshener) 150 mL
(Php 628 each) Hopefully, I can try this some time.
Burberry Eau de Toilette 60 mL (Php 3898)
It's a photo of Rosie Huntington-Whieteley! Wha't not to love!
Tony Moly Broccoli Sprout Cleansing Cream 200mL (Php 478)
I reckon this is like Pond's Cold Cream. Will let you know.
Tony Moly Tomatox Magic White Massage Pack 80g (Php 548)
Browhaus P500 voucher. I have always wanted to try Browhaus' services
but it's too expensive for me so this voucher will really help. Yey!
Etude House 10% Discount on all skin care and cleansing items.
Another reason to go to Etude House and do a haul.
Tony Moly 10% discount on all skin care and cleansing items
Another L'oreal Peofessional Inoa Hair Color and X-tenso Moisturist
vouchers redeemable at any Azta Urban Salon branch
.
Lipstick swatch from the Flormar lipstick
What to do with a newly arrived lipstick? Never mind that I just woke up and haven't washed my face nor brushed my teeth. Instagram it, of course!

Would I purchase again? Now that my 3-month prepaid subscription is over, even with all the good stuff, I might not subscribe again. But this is only because I intend on subscribing to a GlamourBox (if ever they open up again some slots). The bottomline is, as much as I want to keep on receiving more BDJ Boxes, I can't afford to be subscribed into two beauty box subscriptions.

Was the prepaid subscription worth it? For the additional discount per box, Benefit Porefessional primer and journal alone, I'd say it's worth your money. As for the items, I've been trying to use everything but even those from my first box haven't yet depleted. I'd say it's been a great deal.

What I didn't like from this month's box? I liked that they included makeup and a nail enamel but I didn't like that there was a repeated voucher from last month's box. Overall, it is still forgivable. It's free anyway!

I hope this post will help you in deciding whether you should shell out money for this beauty box. :)

Note to self: You wrote everything while tipsy. You should probably spell and grammar check latersss.

  1. I don't know why but I always presumed that the BDJBox will be more makeup than beauty care products. But now that I saw this... it totally makes me want to subscribe for it XD But is the delay-thing common? Or was it just Dec?

  4. Hi, Kat. The Valid 'til field at the back is not filled out. But like the other vouchers the BDJ team already sent, I think it's safe to assume it's valid for a year.
